Oh, and are we talking ceramic or alnico?Įmi makes almost every kind of speaker, and several, from Copperhead to RC to Legend 1058, seem to be popular in 1x10 SF. Bright, clean, some chime, not lead loud or too mid-rich? Rock? Country? Jazz? Small club? Big venue with PA? So many personal factors in your ears too. And BobbyZ makes an excellent point about how efficient you want to get. You may love a high-end Celestion, but for that money I'd want to be sure. Bright, shrill, even icepick get mentioned. I just spent several months reading 'which speaker for Princeton' threads. Interesting 'C or J' voting so far, but one reason C may be ahead is that current production Jensens, while liked by many, are not universally loved. ![]()
